I personally prefer the first 4 Harry Potter books. As for your favorite GK books, I didn’t fall in love with the Slacker series like I usually do with GK books, but I LOVE Restart and Slugfest. I will see you at the FAKER book discussion!

SLUGFEST is awesome. And you like the Deathly Hallows the best? I'm more of a Order of the Phoenix fan, but that last book was amazing too (what I remember of it.) I'm a huge Potterhead. Love Harry Potter! What house are you? (You too, J.R.!)

I am also excited for the faker book club and also wished it was closer.
I actually took the test recently, and it turns out I am a Gryffindor. I have always seen myself as a Hufflepuff or a Ravenclaw but Gryffindor kind of makes sense for me. I guess I am loyal, kind of brave, but can also be reckless and have a short temper. I do like adventure though.

So, I read a 7-book series that was set in a boarding school, and the stories focused on the friendship dynamics between the main characters. The series featured mischievous behavior from the students... secrets and mysteries in every book... a major theme of good-vs.-evil... a bunch of quirky teachers and school administrators... school competitions and school traditions... villains looking to destroy the school... and unique school rules. The books were full of humor and the author was celebrated for bringing a whole new world to life.

I wouldn't say J.K. Rowling exactly copied Gordon Korman's Macdonald Hall/Bruno & Boots series... but you can draw your own conclusions. :-)
