Hi

We enjoy your books and are real fans! Just wondering why you choose to write a book (Jake Reinvented), based on the The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, His style is French ending, (probably because he was a pretty depressed soul).

It's a real contrast to your books which finish so uplifting,and positive.

Life is beautiful! (There are challenges in life,but are a vehicle for transformative growth)

Keep writing and inspiring today's generation.

I wrote "Jake" to see if I could, to see if it would translate to my (at the time) Y/A audience.

Agreed -- life is beautiful. But I couldn't give THE GREAT GATSBY a happy ending, now, could I?

The result? Adults liked it a lot; kids, meaning my reguar audience, not so much.
