    Dear Mr.Korman,

I hope to find you well. I am a grade 5 student from Blythwood junior public school in toronto. Our Class read your famous book Unplugged and lets say most of us LOVED it! As our final project we were assigned to do an interview with a partner and guess who we were interviewing?! Gordon Korman! My partner, Amairaa and I wanted to know if you would do the honors of answering some questions. We have a couple questions so let's see.

    1) Why did you not include Ivorys perspective at the end of the book?
    2) If you were to write a chapter about Ivory then what would it go like?
    3) How did your thoughts of "Unplugged" form into the amazing book itself?
    4) Who was your favorite character in the book and why?
    5) What is your favorite book that you have written and why?
    6) Tell us a little bit more about yourself.
    7) How do you spend your free time?

That is all my questions and thank you for reading this email. I hope you can reply and finally thank you!!😁
    Sincerely,
    Emily Liu

    Hi, Emily & Amairaa,

I'm honored that you chose to interview me. I'll try to answer your questions.

    1. Ivory was probably fired and maybe even arrested for messing with people's minds. She certainly had nothing to add to a satisfactory ending. Her main perspective was her dishonesty.

2.I did write a chapter about Ivory. Or, at least, she appeared in the story, but I couldn't add too much about her without revealing too soon that she was the bad guy.

    3. The plot for UNPLUGGED came from the same place I get all my ideas -- hard work and a lot of thinking and planning. No big mystery; it's just work.

    4. My favorite character was Jett, mostly because he was a fearless person who, at the end, did what he considered to be right.

    5. I have no favorites among my books -- that would be like choosing my favorite among my kids! But I admit I'm very proud of my 100th book, THE FORT.

    6. Me: I have 1 wife and 3 kids -- ages 25, 22, and 19, boy-girl-boy. I live on Long Island, New York, write books for a living, and travel a lot, speaking at schools and libraries and teachers' conventions. I started writing when I was 12, in 7th grade, and that was over 40 years ago.

    7. Free time? Me? Free time? Actually, I enjoy spending time with my family. I don't like to travel because I do so much of it for business. And I'm a season ticket holding football fan -- Go, Giants! Favorite food? Good old burgers and fries.

OK? Thanks for your interest, people. I hope you'll read many more of the books on my long list.

                                                 Best regards,                                             -----Gordon Korman-----
