    Hello Mr. Korman,

I am a former school librarian and have always enjoyed carrying your books in our libraries.

I see Fort is a new book of yours and was so anxious to check out the audio version.  I wanted to write you let you know that I felt the narrators were not believable in their reading of your book. They sounded like actors PRETENDING to be the characters.  Fort deserves better voice over narration.  I love the story.

I've never listened to an audio book of yours before. How are the narrators chosen?

    Hi, Elaine,

Thanks for posting. I myself haven't heard THE FORT, but I'll report your comments. I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with the way the cast did the book.

I have nothing to do with the audio books of my work. Most of them (and there are a lot!) were done very well by a company called Audio Books. Scholastic and Harper Collins, two of my publishers, do their own , usually very nicely too. Accordingly, I have no idea how the actors/readers are chosen.

As an author for 40+ years, I appreciate audio, but I always feel nothing can replace the written page. I hope you'll encounter THE FORT in its original form one day.

    Thanks again.                                                                                        -----Gordon Korman-----
