I am a big fan of yours and my favorite sport is football, when you wrote this book what were you trying to tell the reader? How old were you when you wrote this book?

Thanks for posting.

That's JAKE, REINVENTED, and I wasn't preaching or trying to explain anything. It was my version of a very famous adult novel called THE GREAT GATSBY. I was trying to tell its story in terms that middle grade and Y/A people would understand. Several high school classes have made it a point to read both, which was very flatterng to me.

I really loved "Gatsby," and very much enjoyed writing "Jake."
