Hi there! I have a few questions regarding the Masterminds series (I'm a very curious person). How old is Tori Pritel at the end of Payback? And also what are the heights of Hector, Tori, Eli, Malik, and Amber?

Odd requests, but here goes:

By the end of the series, Tori would be about 13, as would they all, except for Malik who would have been 14 by then.

Hector was on the small side, probably 5 ft. 3. Malik would be the tallest at 5' 11", and Eli would be right behind him at 5'10". Tori would be about 5'4", and Amber would be taller at 5'5". And I'd love to know why you think this info is important to you.

I admit these are guesses, because I pictured them while I ws writing, but I never considered heights.

I know these are odd requests, but for some reason I can't clearly picture these characters in my head. I'm a very visual person.

Another 2 questions:

1. Since Blake Upton is Tamara Dunleavy's great-nephew, and Eli is Dunleavy's clone, would that make Eli a great-aunt or a great-uncle? Because if Upton had a great uncle, that would be Tamara's husband. But Tamara is single, right?

2. I never really understood this. Why did Hector betray his friends? I really didn't get the reason to this in the books.

My favorite series is MASTERMINDS, but I'm really proud of the TITANIC trilogy, and also THE HYPNOTISTS. I'm a writer without modesty! I like my work -- or at least most of it.

Eli would always be a great-uncle, being male. So would any husband of Tamara's, which she had none. But it's possible to have several great-uncles from more than one source. e.g. your great aunt's husband, your father's or mother's uncle, etc.

As the kids grew up in Serenity, Hector always felt second-best, mostly because Malik treated him pretty roughly. When he woke up after the escape crash and found himself alone, he assumed they had abandoned him. (They did search, but thought he went over the cliff with the truck, remember?) He betrayed them because he was bitter about being, as he thought, abandoned. It was all a misunderstanding.

Don't apologize because you choose to want details. I'm very flattered that the series went over so well with  you!
