Hi Gordon!

I am obsessed with your books. As a former teacher (and a former student), I found them relatable in many ways. Through every book I have read so far, I absolutely cracked up at your sticking in something Jewish, kinda like an Easter Egg (or rather a Matzoh Ball?) I started writing books for Jewish schools, specifically interactive readers for middle school age students.

What was the most meaningful moment in your career?

I'm trying to figure out what success in authoring looks like.

Thanks for posting. I'm really pleased to hear that my books have been hitting just the right spot with you, including the insertion of the occasional matzoh ball!

Most meaningful moment? I think it was when I was 13, and had one book out and was working on a second one to see if could do it again. Still, they let me join CANSCAIP, which was at the time a new Canadian group of writers for kids. I felt like I had conquered the world!

I'll tell you what sucessful authoring looks like. It looks like one kid who is reading a book that you wrote, and he is laughing, crying, or generally fascinated by what you wrote.
