Hi, Mr. Korman!

I didn't even know you had a website where fans could interact with you, so writing this feels unreal. Before I head on to my questions, I wanted to say how I love your books. It all started with Restart, the first book I've ever read written by you. As I flipped through every page, I fell in love with the way you wrote. So detailed, yet so easy for a child to understand. Then I read a few more books, The Masterminds trilogy, Mixed Up, Linked, The Fort, and my most recent read, The Superteacher. I'm planning on buying more in the future (have any good recommendations?) Anyway, the Masterminds series always stuck out to me. I admired every one of the main five, especially Tori because we're both artists. Now onto my questions!

1. Do you think I could send you fanart of the main five from Masterminds? It would be awesome mailing my favourite author one of my artworks!

2. How did you depict Hector (physical appearance) while writing the Masterminds? I've always had an unclear vision of him and it would be interesting to hear how you thought of him through the series.

3. Would be possible if I could have an autograph from you?

4.  Have you ever thought of turning Masterminds into a movie or a series? Because if you did make one, I would binge it in one night. Even a mini-movie would be cool!

Those are my questions, I hope they're not a hassle to answer (if you even see this at all LOL.) I didn't know you were that interactive with fans, and now I'm so eager to ask you things. Hope you have a good/day night :)

And, wonderful recommendation for some good Gordon Korman books. If you like something with a more wild plot (Like Mixed Up and Masterminds) I’d say go for FAKER (please read this, we’re doing a book club on it very soon), OPERATION DO-OVER (super interesting and sci-fi-y!), WHATSHISFACE (my #1) (an out of this world book idea)!

For the less sci-fi-y ones, but very action, I’d say SLUGFEST (my #1.5), UNGIFTED & SUPERGIFTED (so fun!!), UNPLUGGED (this was really interesting lol, but down to earth)! And, of course, the SWINDLE series! Great mysteries, so much action!

I haven’t read THE HYPNOTISTS but I think it’s sci-fi-y. 

I’ve also heard that I WANT TO GO HOME is really good. I hope you like these book recommendations. A lot of these books were just on sale for $2 kindle but I think that just passed :(

Thank you for showing me there was a fandom! I’m happy to know there’s other active Masterminds fans that I can share my thoughts with.

Thank you for the recommendations! I’ll try to see if my local bookstores have FAKER in stock so I can make it in time for the book club. And I’ll definitely pick up the other books you recommended.

Hi Mr. Korman,

I’m glad you saw my message, and I admit I was waiting to see if you would respond haha. I’m sorry that I’m about to ask you more questions, but as a huge fan, I’m just so curious to hear more from you. 

1) I’m heading into Grade 8 this year, and it feels terrifying yet exciting leaving elementary. So I’m asking you, someone who’s most likely been in my position as well,  do you have any tips for me (especially for the essays and writing I have to do) ? I can’t believe high school is around the corner, time sure does fly by eh?

2) I’m from Toronto and I was wondering if you have any upcoming events here? It would be amazing to meet you in person, although I know you’re a busy person and you have other places to be. If you don’t, please consider visiting us fans in Toronto!

When you get there, you'll be ready. Don't let high school scare you. It's only elementary school with taller people. You will be fine. I guarantee it.

I was born in Montreal, but I'm from Toronto, too -- since I was 7 years old. I'm there regularly, but when I visit, it's usually to see my Mom and Dad, so I'm not appearing anywhere this summer. Sorry.                                               --GK--
