Thanks for posting. It's good to hear that you're doing some writing.
Your question: The way I do it, and most professional authors do it, it costs nothing. You wrote it, which means you have a book, something to sell. You send it to a publisher of your choice, and if they read it and like it, they buy the rights from you and pay you for it. They do all the editing and the art work for the cover. The amount you get paid usually depends on how many copies the publishing company sells. That's a simple explanation of how book publishing works.
There are writers, though, who write something and self-publish it with a professional publishing-printing company. I've never done that, and I would imagine your costs vary, depending on the kind of finished product you request.
