    Hi! I'm SO happy I found this website, because I really wanted to tell you how much I love your books! I am a very picky reader, but it's my favorite thing to do, because I love to read. Before I discovered your books, I was just bored, trying to find books that would interest me. But almost a year ago, when my school librarian introduced me to The Unteachables, I LOVED it! From then on, I always make sure I have one of your books in my hand. So far, (In no particular order) here are my favorites:

    1. Linked
    2. Ungifted
    3. Supergifted
    4. Superteacher
    5. Faker
    6. Mixed Up

    Also, when you published Mixed Up, I made sure I was the first one at my school library to check it out! I can't wait for your next book. Right now, I just started reading the Masterminds series, and I am finishing reading Notorious. So far, here are all of your books that I have read:

    I Just finished the Masterminds series about a week ago. They are my new favorite books of yours! I am now working on Operation Do - Over, and then I am pretty sure I will start the Swindle series. Also, what book are you working on again, and when is it being published? I can't wait to read it!!!

    Yesterday I stayed up until 10:00 determined to finish Operation Do - Over, and I did! It was really interesting. I've never read anything like it. Where did you get the idea for it and the characters? (Including the dog)


    Also, how long does it take you to write books? I am wondering this because between the time Mixed Up and Faker  were published, it wasn't that long, so do you write books really fast, or work on a few at once?

    I'm pleased to hear that OPERATION DO-OVER made a hit with you. As you can imagine, it was complicated to write because of the timelines, but fun too. The story, characters, and even the dog were all made-up characters. I'm not sure where my ideas come from. Work, primarily -- a lot of thinking and plotting.


    How long does it take to complete a book? It takes all the time until the book is finished, as you probably know. That can be anywhere between 6 to 8 months for a first draft. You mentioned MIXED UP and FAKER being close together. Did you remember that SLUGFEST came in between the two of them? Yes, I write a lot!

    I keep on forgetting to write on this- but I just wanted to say that for a while I've had the goal to read ALL of the books you wrote! I also make sure that my school library pre- orders every one of your books that will be published- and I can't wait for Old School to be published on Tuesday, the 14th - I pre- ordered it a little over a month ago, I think. After reading Operation Do-Over, I read:



    • Unplugged

    • The Fort

    • War Stories

    • The Chicken Doesn't Skate

    • POP

    • Slacker (which I just finished last night)


    In this order, I am planning to read next:



    • Level 13

    • The Swindle series (in order)


    And, somewhere in between, the moment it gets delivered, I will read Old School.


    I've also kinda been refusing to read any other books that weren't written by you because I always know no matter what book of yours it is, I just know I will love it. When I go to my school library, I go to the Gordon Korman section and just take any book of yours I haven't read yet.
