Hi Mr. Korman! My name is Jonah, and I am 13 years old. I have read so many of your books and I have loved all of them! :) Restart is my favorite. What inspired you to write it?

RESTART is my all-time bestseller -- it's been on the New YorkTimes Bestseller List for -- can you believe it? -- 4 years! Most authors don't write because of what you call "inspiration," Jonah. We write because we have something to say, a story we want to tell. That's just about all it takes to start us scribbling.

In the case of RESTART, the story I chose to tell was about second chances.
