    Who's up for a book discussion? All we have to do is agree on a title and set a start and end date. 

    @Jade suggests the Korman classic I WANT TO GO HOME. Does everyone have access to that book? It's from 1981 but still in print. 

    • It's available brand new from Chapters/Indigo in Canada and from Amazon or eBay in the U.S.
    • Older copies can be found on any used book marketplace. (With six different covers to choose from!)
    • And Indigo has an e-book version available for immediate download.

    If you haven't read it yet, it's highly recommended. (And if you have read I WANT TO GO HOME, you'll probably be happy for the chance to reread it!)

    Please leave a note saying whether you'll be able to take part. You can suggest a different book or offer ideas on the book club format, too. If you have friends who are fellow Kormaniacs, make sure to invite them as well.

    I'm going to propose the following book club format: 



    • Let's start on Saturday, 19 October. That gives everyone 10 days to locate a copy of I WANT TO GO HOME and start reading...

    • ... and then conclude on Sunday, 03 November. That gives us two full weeks (and three weekends) to experience Camp Algonkian Island together.

    • The book has 14 chapters, so let's plan to cover a chapter per day up through 01 November. (It's always fair game to keep discussing previous chapters, but the daily chapter tempo makes it easy for any of us reading along.)

    • For the final two days, we can all suggest broader discussion topics.

    • Everyone is encouraged to drop in as often as they'd like. Every few hours? Each weekend? Just once at the end? All are great if it works for you. We just want everyone to have fun.


    What do you all think? I'll plan to start a new I WANT TO GO HOME Book Club thread on the morning we start.
