JadeHi Gord! The BC for RESTART is happening for the 5th graders starting tomorrow! PAG is running it! We’re gonna make a thread for it but is there anything you want us to do in particular? I can show you the plans!

I absolutely love the group of kids we have, they're so funny! They're also pretty rowdy. They have so much energy and I adore them. They were super impressed! They didn't know that ~30 million copies of RESTART were sold. Here's what they guessed the story would be about beforehand:
“He broke someone’s glasses so he had to buy them new ones and he had to restart his bank account” – RO
“I think the story will be about someone being insecure about their glasses and then they will learn to love himself or herself.” – AD
“He is being a bad person and only gets a chance to restart” – KJI
“I think he will die and will restart or he breaks glass.” – S.H.
“I think someone is being restarted in life, not a game.” – J.J.
“Like I legit think this kid named Chase is gonna try some glasses and he’ll go to like a world that’s a game world and they break and he gets restarted.” – NP
“Chase is anew and no one likes him” – AG
When I told them that Chase didn't have glasses, they were confused. I was too!
We did some activities throughout the entire book club. Time flew by like a rocket. Three other PAGGERS were there, some good friends of mine, and they were great leaders. I'm so glad that we're in this together! We also did a plan that everyone agreed on! I happened to have some bookmarks at home so I gave everyone one! Since they didn't own the books, (the school does), I'm glad they got to personalize them. I also intend on getting some plastic jars for them to have fun with too. We started with playing Heads Up 7 Up which got them hype. We did the trivia where we asked five questions and the people who answered correctly will get candy this week! This is the part where they wrote what they thought the book would be about, so they'd have a bit of context. Then, we all read 7 pages of RESTART. After that, we did some arts + crafts where they split into two groups and decorated a canvas, also basing it on their thoughts of what would happen. I'll show you the pictures on Wednesday after I upload them onto IMGUR.
It was so much fun, and I'm so excited that the PAGGERS have this opportunity! See you soon, Gord!
