[Mrs. Schneider's 4th grade class]

We are a 4th grade class from Iowa. Our teacher recently read us the book, Restart. We LOVED this book. Some of our favorite parts are: the wood chipper scene, when Chase was in court, the kidney attack, when Joel came back from boarding school, when Chase found the Medal of Honor, and when Chase hit Bear with the vacuum. Thank you for writing such an amazing book! We have some questions for you.

1. What happened to Aaron and Bear after the end of the book?

2. How do you write such great books?

3. Could you make a Restart series?

4. Have you considered making a Restart graphic novel?

5.  What is your favorite food?

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that RESTART made a hit with the class. I hope you'll all want to read many more of my books. And I'll try to get to all your questions.

1. We can hope that Aaron and Bear will grow out of their bullying ways. Most people do.

2. I'm glad you think my books are great. I just sit down and write them, and I'm very happy that they're so popular. RESTART has been on the New York Times bestseller list for 4 years!

3. Right now I have no plans to write any more RESTART books, but I won't rule it out either. Would you accept an indefinite maybe?

4. If there is a RESTART graphic novel, it wouldn't be done by me, even though it would be my story. Art is definitely not my talent!

5. I like good old burgers and fries. I'm easy to please.
