Hello! I wanted to thank you for presenting at our school assembly today. I am an educator and I know that our students enjoyed the assembly and were excited about reading your book! Your name sounded familiar to me and when you said you have been writing since you were 12 I decided to look back at some of your older books. Turns out I was reading your books when I was a kid! I especially loved and have always remembered Jake, Reinvented. I read it in 7th grade and then again after I read the Great Gatsby in high school. It was an honor to have you at our school and my 7th grade self would be very excited too!

Sorry to keep you waiting. I had to check my records to see where I'm going to be traveling, and when.

Yes, I am going to be in California, visiting schools and libraries in Los Angeles and Orange County, but I'm afraid the trip doesn't include Santa Barbara. So Franklin Elementary, Santa Barbara, isn't on the list. I'm sorry. But perhaps I'll be invited on another California trip. I'm heaquartered in New YorkCity, so I don't get to California too often.

Thanks for posting and for inviting me to visit your school. It would be nice if it could happen before your move.

Actually, the invitation to any school has to be official -- meaning from the Principal, Librarian,or PTA -- because there are expenses involved. So it would be great to visit Woodstock, but it's not entirely up to me.
