Ella FDear Gordan Korman, I loved reading your book Unplugged and now I just started your book Faker. When I was driving I saw a spa called The Oasis Healing Spa and I got so excited, right when I saw that sign it reminded me of your amazing book Unplugged. This was when I was about 25% finished with the book then I said " Oh my goodness it's The Oasis from my favorite book!"
So I have a question, why did you decide to make that book? One of the things I thought was clever is that how you made needles a baby Aligator, I think that was clever because it made the story make sense almost. I almost felt like the story pretty much unfolded at that point.
Today I wrote you this letter because I want to tell you how interesting your book Unplugged was to me. Your book consisted of drama, breaking the rules, kindness, lying, and possibilities!

Your question: I wrote UNPLUGGED for the same reason I write all my 105 books -- because writing is the profession I chose, and that's what I do for a living. It was really a fun story to amuse one of my editors, who goes to a place like The Oasis every year for health and relaxation.
