Thanks for posting. I'll try to answer your questions.

Cap and Sophie probably like each other just fine. Remember, Sophie is quite a bit older than Cap, so their relationship is more the brother-and-sister type. As for Cleo and Yash, that' a work in progress. I think they'll get together eventually.

And thanks for pointing out the typo in MASTERMINDS. I'll alert the publisher's copy editor for when the book is reissued.

Your question: I have absolutely no idea what makes me different from any other author. I don't even know that I am. The type of language that I use, the humor I see in certain situations -- none of that is different from other authors. I MIGHT have a knack for choosing topics that my readers are interested in at the time I choose them, but I don't know about that. Whatever it is that contributes to my success as a writer, I hope it continues!

I'm not sure I understand your request. You can certainly try to conjure up an image of the characters, but they are fictional, don't forget, and have no real substance. But if all you want is my permission to illustrate the book, please go ahead. I'm happy that you want to imagine what they look like.

Lucky number: I've always thought of it as 18, which is the Hebrew number for "chai," which means "life."

As for a second passion, it has to be football. BIG long-suffering Giants fan, season ticket holder. Also a fan of English soccer, but it doesn't really measure up in my mind.

I have never self-published, so I don't know any companies. My advice would be to find a printing company that does books -- there must be a lot of printing companies in your local area. The best place to look is online. Get more than one or two, mostly to compare prices.

Interesting facts. I'm just a medium-boring Dad to 3 kids, 2 in college, 1 a recent graduate, boy-girl-boy. I'm a long-suffering NY Giants football fan, and hold season tickets. I've gone through the guinea pig and kitty stages, but right now the kids are all out of the house, and we have no pets. My favorite type of book to write is a rollicking comedy, like any of the books in the SWINDLE series or the Macdonald Hall series or a single book like I WANT TO GO HOME.  I'm proud of most of my books. And with the recent release of OLD SCHOOL, my list now has 105 books on it! That seems likea lot, even to me!
