    Hey!

    Just curious-- which books of yours do you think are suited for older teens(15+), and which ones are more suited for really young kids(under 10)? I think your books generally have a pretty large age demographic, but are more targeted towards those ~11-13, so I'm interested to know if there's any books that target older or younger kids.

    Thanks, Audrey

    Hi, Audrey,

    Thanks for posting. You're right - the bulk of my output is Middle Grade age. But there are some Y/As too.

    Older: DON'T CARE HIGH; SON OF INTERFLUX; A SEMESTER IN THE LIFE OF A GARBAGE BAG; LOSING JOE'S PLACE; SON OF THE MOB; SON OF THE MOB:HOLLYWOOD HUSTLE; JAKE, REINVENTED; BORN TO ROCK; THE JUVIE THREE; POP. Some of them will be hard to find, but you should be able to acquire a few.

    Younger: RADIO FIFTH GRADE; WHY DID THE UNDERWEAR CROSS THE ROAD?; LIAR,LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE;

    Hope that's helpful.  Best regards,                                                                         -----Gordon Korman-----

    Gord,

    That upper list is more of my favourite works of yours (though I like it all, really). Any plans for some future works that would fit on that list?

    Not sure that there's any real difference, Darren. I mean, I'm not the boy writer any more, but the stuff I turn out today seems to me to be very much like "Joe's Place" or POP. I think maybe I must have changed, so it's possible that what you see is what you get. Can it be that the younger Darren saw it as differently as I did when I was writing it?  I dunno. (Now, does that sound like "maybe it's you?" Sorry!)                                                                                                       ---G---

    I'm still working my way through your catalog chronologically, the latest batch including the Swindle series and I just had the assumption the newer stuff might be closer to that level than the Born To Rock level. Hi again, Darren,

    I think you'll find as you go along that the SWINDLE stuff is a little younger than my normal output. But that's only my opinion, The reader is king!                                                                      --G--
