    Dear Gordon Korman,

I have read your book Restart and I have A few questions  about Restart? 1 of my questions is why did Aaron and Bear not change my class was really hoping Aaron would change because every now and then Aaron would do something that would make us feel like he was going to change and not be a bully and Bear would be the only one left. Another question I have is what was the reason  you made chase falling off his roof and getting amnesia. My last question is what was the climax of the book because there are a lot of big moments in the book.

    Hi, Beckett,

    Thanks for posting.

Aaron and Bear didn't change and that was on purpose. Their change woud have diminished the importance of Chase's change, and taken up too much of the story. Chase fell off his roof because he needed to get amnesia for the story to be about restartng his  life. It was a plot choice I made. I guess a bonk on the head woud have done the job too, but I needed him to see the painting of the little girl in the other house. See how plotting works? I think I'm probably going to agree that the courtroom scene and the support of the whole community for Chase was the climax. There are other strong scenes and turning points, but that was the biggie.

                                       OK? Thanks again.                                                     -----Gordon Korman-----
