Vayden P.To Gordon Korman,
I have a question? Can you make a sequel about Chases high school football career. I think it would be fun and entertaining because chase is good at football but he is also a good Vidiot so it would be cool to see if he is on the football team or if he is going on the video club.
P.S. What was the climax of the book?

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that RESTART made such a big hit with you. I hope you'll go on to read many more of my books. POP is another football story, a Y/A novel.
The climax of the book for me is Chase' recovery of his mental health, when he recalls what he was doing up on the roof, retrieves the medal, and the scene when he goes to return it to Mr Solway. Some people consider it the court scene when the community stands up for Chase.
Your question: a person can be a football player and still belong to the video club, you know. How about Chase is both?

i was bored, so i decided to write a short chapter if there was really a sequel to restart. i dont know if either of you would be willing to read it, but i dont really care. here it is!
Chapter 7?
Chase
Every time I walk or drive past this building it gives me chills. It just serves as a reminder of what I did to Mr. Solway last year. I could have ended up in there, Just like Aaron and bear.
I still cant bring myself to believe that my supposedly brand new “fixed” self would do that. Even to them. They probably hate me now. I cant even walk through the halls at school without someone whispering something behind my back. Even the football players at my school think I went too far for some revenge. And theyre right. I have little to no justification for doing what I did. It wasn’t even Aaron and Bears fault that I ended up atthat hearing. It was my own. I should have known they would have tried to stop me. I should have gone when they werent there.
My mom snaps me out of it. “Are you sure you want to see them honey?” she asks. Even after I entered high school, shes still being overprotective with me. Every time I ask her to go to one of my football games, its basically a war. She always gives in in the end, but shes stubborn about it. She wont give up until she has nothing left to say. Maybe she thinks she can manage to drag it out long enough that I give up, but that’s not happening anytime soon. When im playing football I forget all about what happened and only concentrate on the game. It’s the only time I manage to forget about what I did to Aaron and bear, and right now, I really need that.
“Yes im su-“ I start, but she cuts me off.
“Really? Because the stuff they might say to you could be really upsetting.”
“Maybe it will, maybe it wont.” I answer. Shes not going to talk me out of this. I would know. She flashes me a worried look before opening the doors to the Juvie and stepping inside.
A blast of cold air envelopes me, but I barely notice it. Right now, the only thing on my mind is getting to aaron and bear and explaining everything to them. They probably wont understand or forgive me, but right now, I need to get that off my chest.
I sit down and squint through the glass screen. It takes Aaron a while to show up, but eventually hes right in front of me. I pick up the phone.
“Hey.” I say. I can't think of anything else to say. My tongue feels like its glued down.
“What do you want?” Aaron growls at me. I get the feeling that if I drag this out too long, he might just break through the glass and strangle me. So I get right to the point.
“Listen. I know what I did was wrong-“
He instantly cuts me off. “OF COURSE IT WAS!” he roars, attempting to lunge at me before stopping just a few inches short of the glass. He slams his fist down onto the desk, and the vibrations reach all the way over to my side. If he does manage to get through that screen, I'm not going to be vibrating. I'm going to be ripped into shreds.
“I know that you idiot! Now let me talk!” I yell. The only way I'm going to manage to talk to him is if I don’t back down. He sits back down, staring at me. Probably thinking of a way to kill me if he could. “I'm sorry about what I did. Of course it was wrong. I shouldn’t have taken it that far. I can't believe I, of all people, would do that. So I'm here to ask you if you're willing to forg- “
“No. Never. Not after what you did.” He says. He stands up, slams the phone back down, and leaves me there, feeling even worse than I was before.
its a little bit confusing, so heres what basically happened.
its been two years since the first book, and they are in 10th (9th maybe) grade.
Chase, Aaron, and bear have stopped talking to each other, and aaron and bear continue into their life of crime.
they steal from a small store, and Chase spots them, and reports them to authorities as revenge for what they did to him, but he doesnt realize he went too far until its too late.
so aaron and bear get sent to juvie for stealing, and are stuck in there for a couple of months.
the whole story would probably be about chase trying to redeem himself for what he did, and shoshanna will help him, trying to find evidence that bear and aaron are innocent.
(Spoiler: they are!)
meanwhile, brendan spends his time trying too grow his youtube channel, when he finds out that people have been spreading rumors about aaron, bear, and chase, where he will try to stop the spread of rumors and a specific account targeting chase.
(Spoiler again: it ends up being Bear family)
so the climax of the story would probably be when they manage to get aaron and bear out of juvie and further trouble, where they will forgive each other.
so yeah, thats basically my "version" of a sequel for restart. Please give me your thoughts on it!
-Marco
(PS: this was really fun to write! hope you guys like it.)
