Esther CohenHi Gordon,
My son Leo is a passionate reader and writer—he dreams of becoming an author and teacher someday. I was wondering if you offer any virtual writing programs or sessions for kids?
He’s in 5th grade and turning 11 in May. His class just finished reading Linked, and I read it too so I could be part of the conversation. We were both really moved. I was especially impressed by how you wove in such an important message about hate and antisemitism—and the plot twist was so powerful. It’s such a timely and meaningful book, especially since their class read it after a swastika was found in a school bathroom a few weeks ago.
Leo would love the opportunity to learn from you—whether through a writing workshop or even a short virtual chat about your process and advice for young writers. Please let me know if there's a way to connect.
Thank you so much!

Thanks for posting. I appreciate your comments about LINKED. As you can imagine, it was quite an experience for me to write that material as well.
I appreciate Leo's desire to learn about the writing process, but I fear I'm a writer and not a teacher. However, this website has a lot of letters -- and answers, too! -- about just what you're looking for. If you search for writing questions and topics, you might find something for Leo. Or, if he wants to, Leo could write himself, and perhaps ask me questions about the writing. process. I'd be happy to answer his queries as well.
Again, thanks for your comments and kind words. I'll watch for any correspondence I might get from your son.
Kindest regards, -----Gordon Korman-----
