I Loved your book old school, but I have a question about Leo why did you make him die at the age 99 right before Dextor found the bunker from the bunker boys?

It's not easy to explain. The death of Leo was part of Dexter's growing up. Just like he outgrew the girl he always liked, he also outgrew having a very old man for a best friend and moved on to different friends.
