Katherine (Katie) Feniak

Hello Mr. Korman,
My name is Katie Feniak. I grew up reading your book I Want to Go Home, and it had a huge impact on me — even now, at 17, I think it still shapes how I see the world and how I act.
I’ve always loved storytelling, and I’d love to honor your book by adapting it into a movie someday. It won’t be for a little while (probably after I finish high school!), but I wanted to reach out early to ask if you’d be open to the idea — and possibly even willing to offer your guidance or permission when the time comes.

Thanks for posting. I'm pleased to hear that I WANT TO GO HOME made such a lasting impression on you.

Your request: You can do your film if it is strictly as a fan project and does not involve being sold or viewed for profit. However, I'm unable to grant you the kind of permission that a film producer would buy as the result of a long negotiation with lawyers and agents.
