Hi, I’m a huge fan since my junior years growing up in Montreal in the 90’s. My all time favorite was always a semester in the life of a garbage bag!

2 questions- 1) I noticed your style has changed in the last few years from when I was a kid. In those days I would say it was more humor focused. Just wondering if you’d ever get back to that.

2) As an Orthodox Jew I’m fascinated by your many Jewish references in your more recent books- e.g. I’m reading schooled now and you have all sorts of clearly Jewish names.

Thanks for posting.

1) I think change in style was a natural occurance as I grew up -- remember, I started out at age 12. My stuff is more character-driven than strictly slapstick now.

2) I guess the Jewish names and references come naturally with who I happen to be. Have you read LINKED? That would have the most references you're referring to.

Born in Montreal, moved to Toronto when I was 7, went to NYU, married here, and never left New York.

The Bruno & Boots books have an anniversary coming up - 50 years! Have you read all 7? They are due for a reprint, but I don't know if that includes the USA. And if you can't find them, there are 100+ titles on my list. I’ve read literally everything in the 90s and early 2000s. And now I have my own kids so we have read all Your books from the last 15 years. I think I’ve read everything.

But I’ll tell you this, me, my wife, and my kids all agree that our favorites are the earlier style. Here’s hoping you go back to it someday!
