hello, mr. korman! i was reading through SCHOOLED and noticed that while sophie is driving for the first time, she has an anxiety attack. "I was really panicking. Visions of an angry homeowner coming at us with a shotgun were whirling around my head. 'I can’t! It’s too narrow, and there are trees on both sides! I’ll hit something!' At that point, I didn’t care if I never drove again. I just wanted to make it home alive in something that still resembled a Saturn." as someone with diagnosed general anxiety disorder and medically recognized perfomance anxiety, i'd like to know if this is maybe hinting that sophie has some kind of anxiety disorder?

I guess you can take it in that way. But I prefer to think that Sophie was, for the first time, thrust into a situation that was dangerous and unfamiliar, and panic was not only logical, it was practically mandatory! ---GK---
