Our middle school is excited to be launching a school-wide read aloud initiative during the upcoming school year—and we’ve chosen three of your incredible novels to bring this to life! Sixth grade students will be reading Slacker, seventh graders will dive into Restart, and our eighth grade class will explore The Unteachables. We’re excited to share these titles with our students and staff as we believe your books are the perfect fit for fostering engagement, discussion, and connection across our building.
We’ve already ordered copies for our faculty and staff, but our goal is to place a copy in each student’s hands as well. To support this, we’ve submitted a mini-grant request to help fund the purchase of student copies. In the meantime, I wanted to reach out to explore options for bulk purchasing or to see if there might be other opportunities or programs available t0 help us secure the books we need:

I'm not allowed to get involved in selling books myself, but I do have a few suggestions. First, most independent bookstores as well as all Barnes and Noble stores offer discounts for schools. You should contact some stores that are close to you to see what kind of pricing they offer.
Second, Scholastic Book Fairs warehouses and Scholastic Reading Clubs often offer special deals on many of my books. It can sometimes be hit and miss regarding which titles are featured, but it can't hurt to call over there to ask.
