EthanI was wondering how you come up with names for all the characters in your books. Is it random or is there a deeper reasoning behind each name?

Thanks for posting.
Naming is somewhere between random and meaningful. I honestly can't say why "Steven" is an OK name but "Rudy" was a great one. I like my names to be a little unusual, so I prefer something like Griffin rather than Tom. There's no explaining it, but I can't write about a person if I don't like his/her name. And I can't really predict which names are going to be "right."
OK? Thanks for your interest. -----Gordon Korman-----
