Hi Gordon,

Two very interesting things have happened in the past few days that I felt compelled to reach out and share my experiences based on your writings. My 10 year old son has recently become a fan of yours after reading Restart and now Faker which I believe is part of their 5th grade reading bowl challenge at school. I too just finished reading Restart as I'm spending time to read each book after my son so that we can discuss and connect over the stories after we finish. I have to say it was a little strange reading all about Chase Ambrose, but was sincerely touched by the courtroom scene near the end. But then my son pulls out a book that I had given him to read a month or so ago... my parents had given me some boxes of books from my childhood and my wife and I had gone through them and picked out several for our kids to read now that they have grown a bit. He showed me the book and held it next to Restart and it took a second, but lo and behold, it was the same author! It was my copy of Beware the Fish by none other than Gordon Korman!

Anyway, I just wanted to share as this has been a touching moment for me and my son bonding over your works. Thank you for then and now.

Thank for posting. For few seconds there I didn't know for sure if you had given me your correct name! Wow!

The fact that you can go back into the dawn of time and come up with BEWARE THE FISH is pretty amazing! Thanks so much for reaching out to share the experience. There are now, if you can believe it, 106 books on my long list, the latest of which is SNOOP. I hope both of you will want to explore some of that list.
